Our school tour
On the 18 of June 08, 5 and 6 classes went to Achill for their school tour. The whole tour cost 38 euro. The activities were Orienteering, surfing, canoeing and a history tour of the deserted village. On the way we saw a lot of sheep. We got a snack when we arrived, a snack lunch later and dinner before we left. We were divided into two groups. One group did the watersports while the second group had the walking tour of the deserted village and orienteering. Sinead, Orla, Aisling and Vanessa won the orienteering in their group. The supervisors names were Bernie, Grace, Mary and Richard. They were very nice. They showed us how to surf and told us about the famine and the deserted village. After we ate we were allowed outside and play with their football or play a different game. We played rounders. By 6:15pm we left to go back home. It was a good school tour and we hope we can go on another school tour like that.
